The Jared Fenn Team

Jared Fenn - Franchise Owner & Certified Home Inspector

Some people stumble into their careers by chance. For Jared, it was more like a full-circle moment. Growing up in a family of builders, stonemasons, and general contractors, he was no stranger to the ins and outs of construction. But it wasn’t until he watched his brother navigate a home inspection—one that left more questions than answers—that he realized there was a better way to do things. In 2007, he took a leap of faith and purchased a Pillar To Post franchise, turning his passion for homes, education, and business into a career that has since helped thousands of Utah homeowners.

With a degree in Business and Marketing from BYU and a decade of experience managing digital operations at Nu Skin, Jared brings a unique blend of technical knowledge and customer focus to every inspection. But for him, it’s never just been about checking boxes—it’s about empowering homeowners. His goal? To provide clear, honest, and actionable information that helps buyers feel confident in their investment. Because at the end of the day, any issue can be fixed—it’s just a matter of knowing what you’re dealing with.

Beyond inspections, Jared is also a certified Real Estate Continuing Education Instructor in Utah, offering over 30 courses to help realtors navigate the ins and outs of being a realtor and exceeding in the industry. From meth contamination to radon risks and HVAC systems, he ensures agents have the knowledge they need to better serve their clients. Over 500 realtors attend his classes annually, proving that education is just as important as the inspections themselves.

But life isn’t all about work. Jared and his wife, Laura, have built a life filled with adventure, whether it’s road-tripping in their motorhome, supporting their two kids, Kamryn and Grayson, in their many artistic and extracurricular pursuits, or getting involved in the community. The kids keep them busy with Rubik’s competitions, Scholarship pageants, Theater performances, musical shows and whatever else has piqued their interest this month. When asked about being an inspector, he always responds, “never a dull day”, but the truth is, the same goes for the Fenn household.

Jared’s philosophy is simple: Build trust. Provide knowledge. Deliver peace of mind. And after nearly two decades in the industry, he’s more committed than ever to making homeownership a little less intimidating and a lot more empowering—one inspection at a time.

Jon Jacquart - Certified Home Inspector

Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Jon has spent his entire life surrounded by the mountains, lakes, and everything that makes this area special. But it wasn’t just the scenery that shaped him—it was his first experience as a homeowner that truly changed his perspective. After purchasing a small mobile home, he quickly discovered all the hidden issues that came with it—problems that cost just as much as the home itself. That experience sparked his passion for home inspections, inspiring him to help others avoid the same pitfalls and feel confident in their home-buying decisions.

With two years in the home inspection industry, Jon has made it his mission to educate buyers, not scare them. He believes that every home has issues—it’s just about understanding what they are and how to handle them. Seeing homeowners light up with excitement as they plan their future is what makes his work so rewarding.

Beyond the job, Jon is all about family, friends, and a good story. Whether he’s reading a book, playing video games, or just soaking in the beauty of Utah’s outdoors, he finds joy in the little things. If you ask his friends, they’d describe him as funny, charismatic, and just a genuinely friendly guy.

A first-generation homeowner, Jon is proud of breaking new ground in his family. He lives by the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson:
“I cannot remember the books I’ve read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me.”

Oh, and if you ever need a movie recommendation—Good Will Hunting is at the top of his list!

Jordan Saari - Certified Home Inspector

Originally from Oregon, Jordan moved to Lehi, Utah, with his wife to be closer to her family—especially as they welcomed their third child. Family has always been his priority, and that same dedication extends to his work, where he helps homeowners make informed, confident decisions about their homes.

With a background in construction, Jordan was encouraged by his uncle to explore home inspections as a career. Six years later, all with Pillar to Post, he knows it was the right choice. He loves being able to educate homeowners and demystify the home inspection process, especially for first-time buyers. He sees them as a blank canvas, ready to learn, and takes pride in giving them a strong foundation of knowledge from the start.

Jordan’s favorite part of working with homeowners? Their eagerness to learn. He enjoys meeting people from all walks of life and has encountered professionals from nearly every industry. While there may be a few “wild cards” along the way, the diversity of experiences keeps things interesting.

Outside of work, Jordan is a tech enthusiast. He designs and builds computers, dabbles in 3D printing, and serves as the unofficial IT guy for his friends and family. A fun fact? He has a rare allergy to cold weather—his skin reacts severely to prolonged exposure, so he has to take antihistamines if he’s going to be out in the cold for too long.

One of his biggest accomplishments? Becoming a homeowner at 24—an impressive feat that took hard work, determination, and a few miracles.

His friends would describe him as punctual (almost too punctual!), loyal, and a natural mediator in any group. A piece of wisdom he carries with him comes from his high school football coach:
“Did you get better today, or did you get worse? There’s no room to plateau.”
It’s a mentality he applies to both his work and personal growth—always striving for progress.

His biggest message for homeowners? “You don’t have to be afraid of a home inspection.” His team isn’t there to scare buyers or make homes look bad—they’re there to help people understand their home and eliminate fear through knowledge. As his team leader Jared puts it:
“The only fear is of the unknown. Let us remove the unknown.”

Gary Stevens - Operations Manager/Inspector

Growing up in Southern California, Gary learned the value of discipline, integrity, and attention to detail early on. At 18, he joined the Marine Corps, and just two years later, an assignment brought him to Utah. When his active-duty service ended, he made a choice that would shape his future—he stayed in Utah to join the Marine Corps Reserve.

His love for structure and precision didn’t fade when he left active duty. Inspired by a mentor who suggested a career in building inspections, Gary discovered that home inspection combined everything he enjoyed—meticulous attention to detail, working with people, and presenting clear, honest information. Since 2018, he’s been inspecting homes, starting with insurance inspections before diving fully into residential home inspections.

For Gary, it’s not just about finding and reporting issues—it’s about presenting information in a way that empowers homeowners. He loves working with clients who genuinely want to learn about their home, helping them make informed, confident decisions about what is often their biggest investment. His goal? To be an independent, objective resource—not a salesperson, not a contractor—just an inspector homeowners can trust.

Outside of work, Gary thrives in the great outdoors. Living on a hobby farm, he and his wife raise chickens and livestock, while his kids keep things exciting with dirt bike rides to McDonald’s (yes, really!). Whether he’s out motorcycle riding, working on the farm, or just enjoying nature, he’s always up for an adventure.

But don’t let his military background fool you—Gary is the loud one in the room. His boisterous laugh and quick-witted humor keep every interaction lively. He firmly believes in bringing levity to serious situations, making sure no one feels overwhelmed or stressed. His kids constantly challenge him with their sharp banter, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

A personal accomplishment he’s most proud of? Teaching his children that it’s okay to disagree with their father—respectfully. He’s raised them to think critically, stand their ground, and know that even parents make mistakes.

He lives by a quote from Abraham Lincoln:
“My concern is not whether God is on our side, my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right.”
